I am considering buying a used Flying Scott to replace a wood 18' boat. We can't have a dock on our lake so have kept the wood boat rigged with mast up, pulled the boat up onto the shore on log rollers and just taken off the sails after a run.
Will it be feasible to treat the Flying Scott the same way? An alternative would be to use the road some distance from our camp to slip the boat on and off the trailer into the water, but can't count on the water being low enough to drive a car and trailer on the beach to our property.
(As the only boat on our lake, we won't be racing!)

Since the Scot weighs 850 pounds it could be hard to bring ashore on log rollers. Unless you have a winch. The bottom is not really made for log rollers either, but I have a friend that put trailer rollers and winch on a wood floor to pull his Scot out of the water.
