I just found this ad on my website, for Chinese Hobbies!! Methinks this might be a scam, I don't think even China can make a Hobie and sell it in California for $299, perhaps a Hobbie is something else but the pictures look just like a Hobie, lol. However, they do give a location and phone number on their website, so perhaps they really do have a chinese Hobie for sale for $299? I am SO skeptical I have blocked the ad on Sailing Texas, but here's the url for their one page website, perhaps someone in LA can carefully check them out for us, www.ChineseSailBoats.com/This could be a lot of things. An email harvester, or as Cliff would say, "something more sinister", or maybe just an inferior product put up for sale at it's true worth. It has the looks of a scam, inventory located in a "freight forwarding wharehouse in Los Angeles" (probably does not exist) and you probably can't go look at the boats. I hope someone in LA has the gumption to go check these people out and give us a report, maybe get the police on it if they are not legit. I asked them for ordering info and got an email back right away, with a link for the "order form" which took me back to their site, not the order form. At present I can recommend one thing, do NOT send them any money until this is checked out. Looks like a scam to me. David

The site is offline now. Did the company move? Do you have any other info?
