Hello All, My name is Hunter, and I just moved to San Marcos from Texarkana. There is zero sailing in Texarkana and I have wanted to learn to sail for the last 6 years or so. My hope is to move aboard after I finish graduate school in San Marcos. I really wanted to see if anyone lives relatively close by (within 2 hours), and if this individual would want some help. I would really enjoy helping someone keep their boat looking nice and cleaning up in exchange for learning the "ropes", or sheets should I say! I've read books upon book about sailing, but I'm really wanting to get some first hand experience and feel the thrill of sailing. Thank you for taking the time to read this post!

Hey man the Texas A&M Sailing Club is located about 1.5 hours from you. We have boats out at Lake Bryan, Somerville, and Conroe. If you're also interested we take a trip down to Galveston every semester to camp on the beach and sail during the day. Coast trip will be the second week of April this year and you do not have to be a member to come. Send me an email if you want more information.
