Greetings all I bought a boat last year and while I know what it is, there is little to NO information about who designed it, built it owned it... anything! Its a Preston 19 built in 1987, apparently there were 3 built and they were built by a company in Wisconsin called... wait for it, Preston Boats. The company I guess produced a few other hulls but this was from what I understand the only performance type boat they built. The boat was last registered in WI and from what I can gather was sailed and resided in the Milwaukee area. The person I bought it from, bought it from a storage facility where it was left by the last owner so NOTHING informational came with it except that it was in the Milwaukee area. If anyone knows anything about this boat, previous owners, the designer or company who made it, ANYTHING! I would LOVE to know! Thanks all Attachments:

I might be able to help you. This boat was originally called the Pierce Arrow 18 (PA 18), designed and built by Mark Leonard in Rockford, IL in the early 80s. I almost bought one after seeing it at the Chicago Boat Show. Could not pull it off then but it was built with quality and was trailerable. The original version had a retractable 400 lb daggerboard. I believe his brother Matthew Leonard used the molds and various parts to build the Preston 19. He is no longer in the boat building business. The last I heard is that Mark Leonard works for Catalina Yachts in Florida as of March 2011. You have an interesting boat with an inboard! Hope this helps.
